Always needed, sometimes feared, I only exist in the absence of my opposite, who am I? Silence, yes…silence! The new temporary exhibition hosted at The Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie invites you to think about our strange relationship with silence and noise. Two phenomena constantly present in our daily lives. An immersive acoustic journey, in which you would become the conductor of your own visit.

The exhibition

Silence offers an intimate visit experience, close to introspection. With headphones on, and completely on your own, you will explore the place following a voice who will guide you on your first steps. Look around every corner of the decor, listen to the testimonies, stories, anecdotes, dialogues, readings, avant-garde musical piece…thought out this variety of recordings your will find the different types of silences.
