Since the early 20th century, sports have taken on ever greater importance in our society.
Athletes, amateurs or spectators, we are often attracted by sporting exploits and by the humanistic values that sport may transmit even if these values are not always applied.
Sporting activities have changed the way we see the human body. We have seen a “sportivisation” of our mores, even in the way we dress or our worship of a thin and muscular body. This exhibition takes a historical, sociological and scientific look at the body sculpted by sport. It invites visitors to test themselves to gain a better understanding of the remarkable capacities of the body and its fragilities.
We shall also see how sport has become an amazing experimental laboratory for scientific and technical research.
