Our homes are our sanctuaries. We expect to be comfortable and healthy inside them, and rightly so: not too much noise, a humidity level that suits us and, above all, breathable air...
And yet, although air pollution is often talked about outside, we underestimate the air inside our homes, which is a cocktail of chemical products, dust mites, microorganisms and mould. What effect does this have on our health, considering that we spend up to twenty-two hours in these enclosed spaces every day? This has been the subject of many studies over the last ten years. While waiting for consistent scientific results, it's a good idea to air out our homes for at least ten minutes each day. Open your windows!
